Laura Frances Sprake Garrison, 80, Dobbin Drive, retired City of Paris bookkeeper, wife of Chester W. Garrison, died Monday, November 12, 2007. She was born March 6, 1927 in Bourbon County, daughter of the late Justice Carl and Hallie Brown Baker, attended Paris High School, and was a member of the Paris Church of Christ for over 45 years. Frances is also survived by a daughter, Judy Sprake (David) Beck, Mercer County; a son, Chester "Woody" Garrison; four grandchildren, Lisa (James) Hahn, Shelby County, Tracy Willoughby, Bourbon County, Billy Ray (Chesley) Willoughby, Carlisle, Shawn Garrison, Paris; two sisters, Freida Preston, Lexington; Ruby Gilbert "Gail" Hawkins, Texas; a stepdaughter; and a stepson. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Connie Sprake Willoughby. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 15, at the Paris Church of Christ by Pastors Curtis Graves and George Rogers. Casket bearers will be Robert Buckler, Anthony Dickson, James Hahn, David Beck, Sid Wells, and Mike Gresham. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Hinton-Turner Funeral Home and after 1:00 p.m. Thursday at the church. Memorials are suggested to Paris Church of Christ or Hospice of the Bluegrass, 1317 US 62E, Cynthiana, KY 41031.
