Laura Sue Withers, 87, retired bookkeeper and sales clerk for the A.J. Winters Jewelers, died Monday, January 7, 2008. She was born June 10, 1920 in Bourbon County, daughter of the late John Henry and Nannie Lucretia Florence Withers, a graduate of Millersburg High School and Crump's Business College, and was a member of St. Peter's Episcopal Church where she was active in the Women of St. Peter's. Sue is survived by a nephew, James T. and Lauren Marcum, Pleasant Hill, OH. She was preceded in death by a sister, Marie Withers Marcum; and a brother, George Markhum Withers. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 11, at the Hinton-Turner Funeral Home by Rev. Donavan Cain with interment in Battle Grove Cemetery, Cynthiana. Visitation will be after 10:00 a.m. Friday. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Bourbon Heights Activity Fund.
