Leamon Martin "Lee" Pipes, 69, died Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at Bourbon Heights Nursing Home. He was born August 11, 1945 in Paris, son of the late Hunter A. and Jonell Cooke Pipes. Lee attended Bourbon County High School, was a member of First Baptist Church, had worked for the Paris-Bourbon County YMCA and the Kentucky Highway Department, and had served as manager for the Bourbon County High School basketball team. He is survived by a brother, Hunter A. (Jennifer) Pipes Jr., Shelbyville; and a nephew, Hunter A. Pipes III, San Francisco, California. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 30, at First Baptist Church by Rev. Gary Ellcessor with burial in Paris Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Rob Massie, Frank Cartmill, Bobby Baldwin, Kevin Thompson, Robert J. Bell, and Frank D. Combs. Visitation will be after 11:00 a.m. Friday at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to Hospice of the Bluegrass.
