Leona Burden Gwinn, 61, Avawam, a hair stylist, died Thursday, March 10, 2011 at U.K. Medical Center. She was born October 10, 1949 in Bourbon County, daughter of Ethel Pansy McCarty Burden, Hamilton, OH and the late Estill Lee Burden. In addition to her mother, she is survived by two daughters, Lora Leona Milam, Lexington, Geraldine Matilda Sanchez, Jacksonville, FL; a son, Jim Castillo, Fayetteville, NC; four brothers, Harold Burden, Elbert Burden, Wilburn Burden, James Burden; four sisters, Virginia Smith, Mae Jennens, Louetta Sears, Phyllis Harney; and six grandchildren. Visitation will be 10:30 a.m. Sunday, March 13, 2011 at the Hinton-Turner Funeral Home, Paris. Funeral service will be 11:30 a.m. Sunday with inurnment in Crown Hill Cemetery, Sharpsburg.
