Linda Frances Tipton Stephens, 65, Mackey Pike, Nicholasville, co-owner of Tice and Company, Inc., wife of 47 years of Mervin Stephens, died Friday, October 12, 2007 at Cardinal Hill Rehabilitation Hospital. She was born August 2, 1942 in Bourbon County, daughter of the late Sidney Cecil and Helen Duffy Fogle Tipton. Linda was a graduate of Bourbon County High School, and was a member of Yates PTA, Fayette County School Council, and Old Union Christian Church. She is also survived by two daughters, Selena Jane (Randy) Perkins, Nicholasville, June Kay Stephens, Lexington; two grandchildren, John David Morgerson, Brooke Perkins; two sisters, Brenda (Bob) Staley, Lexington, Norma (Freddy) Stamper, Paris; four brothers, Glenn (Kathy) Tipton, Nicholasville, Gayle (Connie) Tipton, Lexington, Larry (Sheila) Tipton, Paris, Gary (Janet) Tipton, Nicholasville; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Barry Tipton. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 15, at the Hinton-Turner Funeral Home by Rev. Scott Winkler with interment in the Paris Cemetery. Casket bearers will be John Morgerson, Andy Applegate, Arvid Applegate, Randy Perkins, Dusty Tipton, Anthony Hill, Tim Hill, and Roger Stephens. Honorary bearers will be Kalin and Tanner Johnson. Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday. Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association or Old Union Christian Church.
