Lois Beatrice Yazell Mynear, 89, of Lexington and formerly of Bourbon County, retired sales clerk, wife of Alvin "Mickey" Mynear, died Thursday, January 31, 2008. She was born June 7, 1918 in Bourbon County, daughter of the late John Samuel and Lillian Carpenter Yazell and was a graduate of Center Hill High School. Lois is also survived by a sister, Ruby Shannon, Paris; two nieces, Wilma Reynolds (Thomas) Sherlock, Lexington, Judy Shannon (Jim) Pry, Paris; a nephew, Samuel Wayne (Susan) Reynolds, Orlando, FL; great nieces and nephews Stephanie (Jack) Fordham, Michele (Clay) Sturgeon, David Reynolds, Laura Reynolds, Sonia Upton, Tracy Reynolds, Sammy Reynolds; and great, great nieces and nephews, Drew Fordham, Haley Fordham, Jackson Sturgeon, and Kathryn Sturgeon. She was preceded in death by a sister, Mildred Reynolds; and a great nephew, Tommy Sherlock. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Monday, February 4, at the Hinton-Turner Funeral Home by Rev. Dan Russell with interment in the Paris Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Jack Fordham, Jr., Drew Fordham, Sam Reynolds, Jim Pry, Clay Sturgeon, Dennis Hash, Rick Hash, and Willie Padgett. Honorary bearers will be Virgil McClain, Thomas Sherlock, Kenney Stevens, Bob Emmons, Joe Emmons, Earl Mynear, Roy Lee Duncan, and Alvin Ray Duncan. Visitation will be 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Sunday.
