Lonnie Wayne McCord, 73, Bethlehem Road, retired night watchman for Claiborne Farm, husband of Charlotte Kiser McCord, died Tuesday, October 27, 2009 at the Bourbon Community Hospital. He was born May 21, 1936 in Bourbon County, son of the late Robert and Lorraine McKenzie McCord and was a graduate of Paris High School. Lonnie is also survived by two daughters, Joyce Ann McCord, Jennifer Lynn McCord; a son, Ricky Wayne McCord, all of Paris; and four brothers, Larry C. McCord, Johnny (Martha) McCord, Sammy (Norma) McCord, and William "Jack" (Teresa) McCord. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Bobby, Marvin, and Gayle McCord. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, October 30, at the Hinton-Turner Funeral Home by Rev. Sylvester Sanders with burial in Evergreen Memory Gardens. Casket bearers will be Ronnie Clark, Steve Clark, Jeff Clark, Chris Marcum, Bobby McCord, Jr., and Jason McCord. Honorary bearers will be C.K. Kiser, Nelson Hutson, Jerome Harney, Paul Kendall, and Greg Harp. Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday. Memorials are suggested to the Bourbon Heights Activity Fund.
