Mamie Ruth Snapp Turner, 82, Vine Street, widow of John Turner, died Friday, November 6, 2009 at the Bourbon Community Hospital. She was born June 11, 1927 in Bourbon County, daughter of the late Leslie and Martha Justice Snapp. She is survived by a daughter, Donna (John) Ormes; five grandchildren, Lisa Turner (David) Ritchie, Danny Wayne (Joy) Turner, Jr., John D. (Missy) Turner, Edith (Lonnie) Schwab, Lana Watkins; and five great grandchildren, Leslie Ritchie, Cory Turner, Shawn Turner, Jeremy Turner, and Royse Morgan Turner. She was preceded in death by three sons, Danny W. Turner, Sr., Roy Turner, Tommy Turner; two sisters, Lucille Myers, Della Sartin; and a brother, Henry Snapp. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 11, at the Hinton-Turner Funeral Home by Pastor Don Riley and Joe Akemon with burial in the Paris Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Danny Wayne Turner, Jr., John D. Turner, David Ritchie, Les Ritchie, Cory Turner, Shawn Turner, and Jeremy Turner. Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday.
