Margaret Brent Thomas Clements, 84, widow of Philip Lee Clements Jr., died Sunday, April 17, at her home in Paris. Born May 26, 1926, she was the daughter of Edwin Kerr and Emma Louise Collins Thomas. She was a graduate of The Madeira School, Greenway, VA and Briarcliff College, Briarcliff Manor, NY. Survivors include a daughter, Louise C. Robinson, Lexington; a son, Philip L. (Ann) Clements III, Chelsea, MI; three grandchildren, Brent (Douglas) Dewberry, Atlanta, GA, David Robinson, New York, NY, Jamie Clements, Chelsea, MI; a great grandson, Allen Hill, Atlanta, GA; a sister, Emma Lou (Perry) Ritter, Paris; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, April 21, at 10:30 a.m. in the Paris Cemetery by The Reverend Chris Brannock-Wanter. Honorary pallbearers will be James E. Bassett, Douglas Bell, Ramsey Bell, N.E. Blackwell, James G. Gay, Thomas Kessinger III, Thomas Kessinger Jr., Austin Paul, Thomas W. Talbot, Woodford VanMeter, and Quentin W. Walker. Contributions suggested to Hospice of the Bluegrass, 1317 US Hwy 62E, Cynthiana, KY 41031, St. Peter's Episcopal Church, PO Box 27, Paris, KY 40362, or Paris Animal Welfare Society (PAWS), PO Box 222, Paris, KY 40362.
