Margaret Johnston, 82, Prescott Road, retired Bell South plant manager and clerk, wife of Charles Clifton Johnston, died Tuesday, November 17, 2009 at her home. She was born March 5, 1927 in Estill County, daughter of the late Ezra and Ella Jones Blakemore and was a graduate of Estill County schools. She was a member of North Middletown Community Club, Bell South Pioneers, and the North Middletown Christian Church where she was a member of Circle 5. She is also survived by a daughter, Janie (Roy) Baber, Paris; two sons, Charles "Butch" (Monica) Johnston, Paris, Perry (Tina) Johnston, Georgetown; six grandchildren, Jackie Baber, Ashley Baber, Haley Wood, Josh Vance, Jacob Vance, Keith Lancaster; three great grandchildren, Henri Baber, Will Wood, Elise Lancaster; a brother, Edward Blakemore, Winchester; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 20, at the North Middletown Christian Church by Rev. Robert Silvanik with burial in the North Middletown Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Charles "Butch" Johnston, Perry Johnston, Roy Baber, Billy Wood, Keith Lancaster, Josh Vance, and Jacob Vance. Honorary bearers will be members of the Ceramic Class at North Middletown Christian Church. Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the Hinton-Turner Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to the North Middletown Church Disabled Access Fund.
