Margaret Crump Rankin, 84, Emily Street, retired employee of Lexington-Blue Grass Army Depot and Wal-Mart, widow of Harrison T. Rankin Sr., died Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at Bourbon Community Hospital. Margaret was born August 26, 1927 in Paris, daughter of the late Emmett R. and Elizabeth Crump, a graduate of Paris High School, a Kentucky Colonel, and was a member of Bourbon County Homemakers and First Baptist Church. She is survived by a son, Harrison T. Rankin Jr., Frankfort; three grandchildren, Christina Rankin (Brian) Williams, Richmond, Mark Humphrey, Phillip Humphrey, both of Paris; two great grandchildren, Alexander Humphrey, Matthew Humphrey; and a brother, John W. Crump, Paris. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Audury "Susie" Humphrey; a daughter-in-law, Mary K. Rankin; a sister, Nellie Williams; and three brothers, Archie, Joe Leslie, and Emmett R. Crump. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, September 26, at the Hinton-Turner Funeral Home by Rev. Don Reed and Rev. Gary Ellcessor with burial in Paris Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Gayle Garrison, Bob Williams, Billy Rankin, Brian Williams, Ted Long, Rob Massie, and Rick Massie. Honorary bearers will be Judy Jones, Charlotte Custard, and Connie Buchanan. Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday. Memorials are suggested to First Baptist Church Building Fund. www.hinton-turnerfuneralhome.com
