Margaret K. "Mawmaw" Rarden, 66, Oak Harbor, OH, died Friday, February 16, 2007 at the Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland, OH. She was born April 30, 1940 in Chillicothe, OH, daughter of the late Russell and Elizabeth Bell Kenney. Margaret graduated from Paris High School and studied computer science for a year at Terra Tech Community College. On July 11, 1956 in Indiana, she married Allen T. Rarden, and he survives. She worked for U.S. Gypsum in Port Clinton, OH for 27 years. Margaret was a member of Central Baptist Church and enjoyed antique shopping and collecting jewelry and purses. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother "Mawmaw" to her family and will be deeply missed.
Margaret is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Allen T. Rarden, Oak Harbor; daughters, Janet Rarden, Parma, OH, Linda (Keith) Grotz, Oak Harbor; son, Allen W. (Karen) Rarden, Port Clinton; grandchildren, Hally (Don) Rarden, Emily Deak, Tyler Deak, Amber Rarden, Kevin Rarden, Amanda Rarden; great grandchildren, Autumn Hahner, Tyler D. Rarden, Ian DeWille, Chelsea Deak, Jayden Evans, and one on the way; brothers, Russell Kenney, Paris, Charles Kenney, Texas, Whitt Kenney, Murfreesboro, TN; and her kitty cat, Katie. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Jimmy and Matthew Kenney. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 23, at the Hinton-Turner Funeral Home by Rev. Dan Russell with interment in the Paris Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday.
