Margaret Mary Dolores "Marjorie" Grieve Woodall, 79, widow of William Emerson Woodall, Paris, Kentucky, died at 4:25 pm, Thursday, December 24th. She was born in Cork, Ireland, the only child of the late Edward Norman and Mary B. "May" O'Brien Grieve.
Mrs. Woodall, a member of the Church of the Annunciation, Paris, Kentucky, was a Secular Franciscan who was educated in Ireland and served in the Women's Royal Air Force in Radar and Flight Control during the Berlin Air Lift and the Korean War.
Survivors include four sons, William Michael (Norma) Woodall, East Windsor, NJ, Charles Thomas (Julia) Woodall, Richmond, Hugh Robert (Yacine) Woodall, Atlanta, GA, and Richard James Woodall, Paris; one daughter, Margaret Elizabeth Woodall (Dan) Tylutki Harwinton, CT; eleven grandchildren, Christopher, William, Elizabeth, Jason, Victoria, Bridget, Zachary, Bianca, Grace, Emily, Hannah; and two great-grandchildren, Alister and Adeline. Mrs. Woodall is also survived by relations and friends in Ireland and England and by JoAnn Shriver Perkins, her Eucharistic Minister. Mrs. Woodall was preceded in death by two sons, Norman Emerson Woodall and John Edward Woodall; and one grandson, Christopher Rudnick.
A devout Catholic, Mrs. Woodall's life will be celebrated and remembered with a visitation at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home, Paris, Sunday, December 27th from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. with the Rosary at 7:30. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, December 28th at 10:00 a.m. at the Church of the Annunciation, Rev. John Curtis officiating, with burial to follow in the Carlisle Cemetery. Pall-bearers are Christopher, William, Bridget, and Zachary Woodall, Grace Tylutki, Mark Terrell, Patrick Conley, and Lee Johnson. Honorary Pall-bearers are William Stephens, Joe Shriver, Anthony Koch, Katrina Kiser, and Nina Fournier.
In lieu of flowers, Mrs. Woodall has requested donations to The Catholic Church of the Annunciation Building Fund, Paris, or The Kollin DeNegre Scholarship Fund, C/O Margaret Tylutki, 190 Weingart Road, Harwinton, CT 06791.
