Marie Callebs, 92, of Paris and formerly of Barbourville, widow of William Lawrence Callebs, died Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at Bourbon Heights Nursing Home. She was born February 23, 1923 in Gray, Kentucky, daughter of the late Dan and Isabelle Riley Gregory. Mrs. Callebs was a member of East Barbourville Baptist Church, Barbourville, and Mount Zion Christian Church, Winchester. She is survived by two sons, Charles (Rosetta) Callebs, Lexington, Harry (Carrol) Callebs, Paris; four grandchildren, Darrell Callebs, Kingsport, TN, Johnny Callebs, Marianna, FL, Deanna Stout, Grand Rapids, MI, Jason Callebs, Corbin, KY; six great grandchildren, Emily Stout, Natan Stout, Caleb Stout, Jonathan Stout, Chesney Callebs, Haley Callebs; daughter-in-law, Vickie Callebs, Lexington; and a sister-in-law, Susan Gregory, Barbourville. A son, William Patrick Callebs, preceded her in death. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 13, at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home by Rev. Kenney Speaks with visitation after 10:00 a.m. Burial and graveside service will be 3:00 p.m. Friday at the Barbourville City Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Alzheimer's Association.
