Marilyn Jo "Jodi" Showalter, 51, Woodmont Drive, wife of Joseph H. Showalter, died Thursday, November 22, 2007 at her home. She was born April 20, 1956 in Winchester, daughter of the late Montford M. and Mary "Woodie" Lewis Mountz, a graduate of George Rogers Clark High School and attended Eastern Kentucky University. Jodi was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Reach to Recovery, and Bosom Buddies. She is also survived by two daughter, Morgan and Madison Showalter, Paris; two sisters, Terrie (Lenny) Benjamin, Cincinnati, Shari (Don) Paris, Lexington; nieces, Jillian Stein, Cincinnati, Jamie Pieper, Cincinnati, Drew Mountz, Cullman, AL; and nephews, Jeremy Benjamin, Cincinnati, and Collins Paris, Chicago. A brother, Monte Mountz, preceded her in death. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 26, at the First United Methodist Church by Rev. Jerri Williams with interment in Evergreen Memory Gardens. Casket bearers will be Todd Mills, Kevin Woodrum, Jim Allen, Mark Featherston, and Brian Conn. Tom Kincaid will serve as honorary bearer. Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday at the Hinton-Turner Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to First Methodist Church or Hospice of the Bluegrass.
