Marion Milton \"Pete\" Logan, 69, North Meadowhill Road, retired farm manager, husband of Linda Owens Logan, died Sunday, October 23, 2011 at St. Joseph East Hospital. He was born December 8, 1941 in Nicholas County, son of the late John Willie and Louie Jefferson Crawford Logan and was educated in the Bourbon County schools. Pete was a member and deacon of First Baptist Church and was a Kentucky Colonel. He is also survived by a daughter, Lisa Jo Logan (Jim) Gilkison, Versailles; two sons, Wayne (Shirley) Logan, Mark (Susan) Logan, both of Paris; five grandchildren, Ashley (Chris) Brown, Sarah (Billy) Wade, Justin Logan, Tyler Singer, Clay Gilkison; three great grandchildren, Kathryn Wade, Logan Wade, Cole Brown; two sisters, Betty Smoot, Carlisle, Ruth (Jack) Dayton, Dayton, OH; a brother, Gilbert (Carolyn) Logan, Ormond Beach, FL; and special friends, Jack and Patty Dunn. He was preceded in death by a sister, Mae Logan; and two brothers, Billy and Ivan Logan. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 26, at First Baptist Church by Rev. Gary Ellcessor with burial in Evergreen Memory Gardens. Casket bearers will be Justin Logan, Tyler Singer, Billy Wade, Chris Brown, William Tipton, David Mefford, Jackie Dunn, and Jim Gilkison. Honorary bearers will be E.J. Caswell, Sylvester Sanders, Arthur Hancock, Dr. C. Ray Young, Curtis Cole, Jim Barker, Danny Jackson, Ray Singer, Hoppy Myers, and Deacons of First Baptist Church. Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the church. Memorials are suggested to First Baptist Church Building Fund.
