Martha Saunders, 75, Winchester, a retired banker, wife of Sterling Saunders Jr., died Monday, November 9, 2015 at Johnson-Mathers Nursing Home, Carlisle. She was born February 23, 1940 in Paris, daughter of the late Walter and Emma Dotson Flora. Martha was a graduate of Nicholas County High School and was a member and Deacon of Winchester First Christian Church. She is also survived by her good friend, Marjorie Burnaw of Carlisle. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 14, at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home by Rev. Steve Smith with burial in the Carlisle Cemetery. Visitation will be after 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Winchester First Christian Church, 24 East Hickman Street, Winchester, KY 40391.
