Mary Jewell Davidson, 89, a retired licensed practical nurse, widow of William S. Davidson Sr., died Monday, November 21, 2011 at Hospice Care Center. She was born January 5, 1922 in Clarksville, TN, daughter of the late John Wesley and Annie Blake Darnell Patterson. Mary Jewell was a graduate of Clarksville High School, received her nursing degree in Cincinnati, OH, and was a member of Silas Baptist Church. She is survived by a son, William S. Davidson Jr., Bourbon County; a daughter, Mary Jo (Charles) Norman, Chattanooga, TN; a sister, Ruth Parke, Pottstown, PA; two grandchildren, Carolyn Lee (Michael) Ronco, Durham, NC, Charles Landon (Bethany) Norman, Chattanooga, TN; six great grandchildren, Mary Catherine Circeo, Taylor Leigh Circeo, Hannah Lea Norman, Jacob Landon Norman, Rachel Piper Norman, Seth Chambers Norman; and special friends, Pamela Swartz, Bonnie Tipton, Melissa Gaunce, Barbara Roberts, and the Hospice Care Team. A daughter, Jane Miller Davidson, preceded her in death. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, November 28, at Silas Baptist Church by Rev. Curtis Coots with burial in Paris Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Matthew True, Larry Hay, Barry Hay, Charles Norman, Charles Clark, Zack Hutson, David Tucker, and John Mason. Honorary bearers will be Donald Ray Hutson, Walter Lee True, Chuck Norman, Jessie Webb, Jamie Stanfield, Greg Duncan, Benjamin Rankin, Jimmy Mason, and Deacons of Silas Baptist Church. Visitation will be 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to Silas Baptist Church Building Fund or Hospice of the Bluegrass.
