Mary Frances Gilvin, 89, retired employee of Lexington Blue Grass Army Depot-Avon Activity, widow of Elmer Clay Gilvin, went to be with our Lord on Wednesday, May 23, 2007. She was born August 20, 1917 in Paris, daughter of the late Henry Clay and Jean Kendrick Moore, a graduate of Paris High School, a member of First United Methodist Church, and a long time member of the Shamrock Homemakers. Mrs. Gilvin is survived five grandchildren, Beverlee Wagoner, Kelley Cook, Lexington, Melissa "Missy" Henson, Georgetown, Stephen (Lori) Wagoner, Paris, Robert Lee Wagoner, Jr., Lexington; six great grandchildren, Jason Wagoner, Paris, Ashlee Wagoner, Charlotte, NC, Joshua Roe, Paris, Kristin Wagoner, Monroe, NC, Jesseca Roe, Paris; five great, great grandchildren, Jakob Denton, Monroe, NC, Kaddin Clay Ritchie, Paris, Brionna Spivey, Paris, Landen Roe, Paris; two sisters-in-law, Dorothy Gilvin Dale, Mt. Sterling, Virginia Moore, Cape Coral, FL; four nephews, Doug (Charmayne) McDuffee, Palm Harbor, FL, Henry (Shirley) Toomey, Kettering, OH, Ronald (Kathy) Kelly, Tampa, FL, and Bobby (Linda) Kelly, Dayton, OH; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two daughters and a son-in-law, Barbara Jean and Bobby Wagoner, Phyllis Ann Clark; two sisters, Katherine Kelly, Betty Toomey; two brothers, William J. Moore, Henry Clay Moore; and two nieces, Priscilla McDuffee Parsons and Brenda Kelly. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, May 25, at the Hinton-Turner Funeral Home with interment in the Paris Cemetery. Visitation will be after 11:00 a.m. Friday. Mrs. Gilvin was a very strong woman whom believed deeply in the Lord our Father, a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Nannie, we will miss you so very much, you were a mother to us. May you rest peacefully in Heaven, love forever, your grandchildren.
