Mary Belle Selvage, 84, West Main Street, Carlisle, widow of Russell Selvage, died Wednesday, September 8, 2010 at Johnson-Mathers Nursing Home. She was born January 28, 1926 in Nicholas County, attended Nicholas County schools, and was a member of Stoney Creek Christian Church. She is survived by three daughters, Linda Lou Massie, Judy Layne Scott, Becky (James Todd) Davis; a stepson, Donald (Martha) Selvage; a stepdaughter, Willa Faye (Bill) Mathes, all of Carlisle; three grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 11, at the Hinton-Turner Funeral Home by Rev. Bobby Cairell with burial in the Carlisle Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Barry Fryman, Fred Allen Tolson, Tommy Hamm, Marion Kerns, Greg McNabb, and Alvin McNabb. Visitation will be 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. Friday. Memorials are suggested to Stoney Creek Christian Church or Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
