Mary Ann Lykins Stakelin, 83, of Sherman, TX, a retired IBM employee, widow of Charles M. Stakelin, died Friday, December 18, 2015 at Meadowbrook Care Center in Van Alstyne, Texas. She was born December 17, 1932 in Paris, daughter of the late Oscar M. and Opal Lela Copas Lykins. Mary is survived by a daughter, Mary (Michael) Menke, Sherman, Texas; four grandchildren, Mary and Michael's children: Nathan Menke, Melina Blakley, David Menke, and Melissa Kowal, daughter of Carl Diedrich; seven great grandchildren; and two nephews, Maurice Lykins and David Lykins. She was preceded in death by a son, Carl Diedrich; and three brothers, Maurice, Eddie, and Donald Lykins. Graveside services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 28, at Paris Cemetery Chapel. There will be no visitation.
