Melvin C. Reynolds, 56, of Gillespie Road, father of Tara Reynolds and husband of Carol Reynolds, died near his home early Thursday morning. Mr. Reynolds was born in Paris, Kentucky and resided near the city for the majority of his life. His parents, Gene and Anna Ruth Reynolds, preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife, Carol Reynolds; brother, Barry Reynolds; son, Jason Puckett; and daughter, Tara Reynolds. Also, Dennis and Sherry Smith of Paris, KY; Diane and James Begley and grandson, Zachary of Lexington, KY; and a special friend, Otis "Archie" Brown. Melvin loved the outdoors and frequently enjoyed camping, riding his ATV, and spending time with his wife and his dog, Jake. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and co-workers at Monessen Hearth Systems in Paris, KY, where he was employed as a brake press operator who helped develop prototypes for new product lines for the company. His funeral service will be held 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 4, at the Hinton-Turner Funeral Home with a private interment to follow. Visitation will be held on Tues, May 4, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, may be made to the Lexington Chapter of Alzheimer's Association, 465 East High Street, Lexington, KY 40507-1939 www.alz.org/index.asp .
