Michael Richard Mitchell, 56, of Lexington, a farmer, husband of Vickie Smith Mitchell, died Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at his home. He was born June 16, 1955 in Nicholas County, son of the late Richard and Bernice Meadows Mitchell and was a graduate of Nicholas County High School. Michael is also survived by two sons, Michael Shane (Kelly) Mitchell, Paris, Steven Seth (Jennifer) Mitchell, Lexington; five grandchildren, Taylor Stinnett, Michael Mitchell, Kaitlyn Mitchell, Noah Mitchell, Madeline Mitchell; a brother, Steve (Sharon) Mitchell, Maysville; and four sisters, Phyllis (Danny) Howard, Carlisle, Angie (Thomas) Brierly, Carlisle, Charlotte (Larry) Witt, Paris, and Becky (Ralph) Lyons, Paris. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 9, at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home by Rev. Vernon Adams with burial in Evergreen Memory Gardens. Casket bearers will be Brian Brierly, Eric Mitchell, James Bales, Keith Howard, and his grandchildren. Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday.
