Nannie Elizabeth Weaver Elvove, 98, Massie Avenue, wife of 72 years of Louis Elvove, died Monday, January 28, 2008 at her home. She was born June 13, 1909 in Falmouth, daughter of the late Charles Thomas and Delia Ellen Pendergast Weaver. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Elvove is survived by ten children, Rose Marie (Carl Thomas, Paris, Charles Edward Kelley, Casa Grande, AZ, Elizabeth Ellen (Bland) Ballard, Paris, Marjorie (Alan) Lager, Boynton Beach, FL, Marilyn (William G.) Crouch, Oklahoma, Nancy (Oties, Jr.) West, Paris, Joseph (Rosemarie) Elvove, Paris, Louis J. (Ruth) Elvove, Paris, Rebecca Smith, Texas, Regina Elvove, Phoenix, AZ; 25 grandchildren; 52 great grandchildren; and 13 great, great grandchildren. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 31, 2008 at the Hinton-Turner Funeral Home by Rev. Sylvester Sanders with interment in the Paris Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Louis Browning, Jeffrey Lager, William G. Crouch, Jr., Michael West, Matthew Dittemore, Neil Weiss, Josh Phelps, and Jimmy Phelps. Honorary bearers will be Carl Thomas, Bland Ballard, Alan Lager, William G. Crouch, Sr., Oties West, Jr., Mark Long, Samuel Clay, III, and Sam Calvin Roe. The family expresses appreciation to Mrs. Elvove's special caregivers over the last few years, Nancy West, Betty Ballard, Michele West, Debbie Lowe, and Becky Smith. Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of the Bluegrass.
