Frances Harney, 93, of Franklin, OH and formerly of Shawhan, a retired waitress, widow of George William Harney died Friday, November 19, 2010 at the Atrium Medical Center in Middletown, OH. She was born December 6, 1916 in Nicholas County, daughter of the late Clarence and Etta Reid Burke and was a member of the Shawhan Baptist Church. She is survived by a son, Allen C. (Phyllis Ann) Harney, Franklin, OH; two grandchildren, Duane (Joyce) Harney, Middletown, OH, Jennifer (Scott) Curtis, Centerville, OH; three great grandchildren, Nathanael Allen Harney, Kaila Marie Curtis, Naomi Harney; a twin sister, Rose Ellington, Bourbon County; a brother, Billy (Phyllis) Burke, Carlisle; and a sister-in-law, Imogene Burke. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Aaron Harney; a sister, Margaret Combs; and a brother, Raymond "Pete" Burke. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 24, at the Hinton-Turner Funeral Home by Rev. Duane Harney with burial in Evergreen Memory Gardens. Visitation will be after 10:00 a.m. Wednesday.
