Patricia "Pat" Thomas, 77, Chief Deputy Clerk for the Bourbon County Clerk's Office where she had worked for 46 years, wife of William Eugene Thomas, died Sunday, September 25, 2011 at St. Joseph Hospital. She was born December 30, 1933 in Bourbon County, daughter of the late George T. and Mary Elizabeth McCarthy Toohey, a 1952 graduate of Bourbon County High School and was a member of Bourbon County Homemakers and the Catholic Church of the Annunciation. Pat is also survived by a son, William "Gene" (Martha) Thomas II, Lexington; a daughter, Alicia Thomas (Tony) Hall, Georgetown; and four grandchildren, Peyton Ashley Thomas, Mackenzie Elizabeth Hall, Kelsie Anne Hall, and Isabella Maria Hall. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary T. Harney, Rose T. Crump; and a brother, George Toohey. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 29, at the Catholic Church of the Annunciation by Rev. John Curtis with burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Casket bearers will be members of the Bourbon County Fiscal Court, Donnie Foley, Jimmy Mason, Donnie McCarty, Marion Dawson, Cecil Foley, John Smoot, Mark Offutt, and Barry Hay. Honorary bearers will be the offices of Bourbon County Clerk, Bourbon County Treasurer, Bourbon County Sheriff, and Bourbon County Attorney. Visitation will be 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Hinton-Turner Funeral Home with Rosary at 7:30 p.m. Memorials are suggested to Catholic Church of the Annunciation.
