Paul A. Benzie, 66, Colville Road, retired GTE supervisor, husband of Margery Morey Benzie, died Tuesday, May 29, 2007 at the St. Joseph Hospital. He was born February 21, 1941 in Detroit, Michigan, son of the late Alexander and Thelma Paulsen Benzie, and was one of Jehovah's Witnesses. Paul was deeply involved in ministerial work from a very early age and served as an elder in the Paris congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses for many years. He is also survived by two daughters, Shaina (Michael) Smith, Bourbon County, Hope Haight, Paris; a son, Kevin Benzie and Vanessa Lovenburg, California; and three grandchildren, Robert, Micah, and Ian Haight. A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 2, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 2101 Rocky Road, Paris, by Scott Scribner. Memorial contributions are suggested to Watchtower, 25 Columbia Heights, Brooklyn, NY 11202-2483, or one's favorite charity. He was a loving son, husband, father, and friend and will be missed by his spiritual brothers and sisters.
