Paul Dean Howard, 75, Parrish Avenue, retired factory worker, U.S. Army veteran, husband of Patsy Cain Howard, died Thursday, December 30, 2010 at Harrison Memorial Hospital. He was born June 11, 1935 in Fleming County, son of the late Silas Phillip and Amelia Hamilton Howard and was a member of Queen Street Christian Fellowship in Mount Sterling. He is also survived by a son, William M. Howard, Cynthiana; four grandchildren, Tonie Watts, Freddie Howard, Bobby Jo Pasley, Donald Gene Nickerson; several great grandchildren; four sisters, Ruby (J.W.) DeAtley, Carlisle, Barbara Arnold, Paris, Geneva Howard, Paris, Margaret "Margo" (Carl) Liggett, Mount Sterling; a brother, Henry T. (Deloris) Howard, Paris; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Dorothy Switzer; two sisters, Thelma McCord, Edith Buzzard; and three brothers, Melvin, Orville, and Frank Howard. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, January 6, at the Hinton-Turner Funeral Home by Rev. James Humphries with burial in the Kentontown Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Larry Dunn, Timmy Howard, Charlie DeAtley, Freddy Howard, Mike McCord, Arthur Buzzard, Daniel Paul George, Cody Clark, and Allen DeAtley. Donald Gene Nickerson will serve as an honorary bearer. Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday.
