Pearl Scott Puckett, 88 years old, former Bourbon County resident and the widow of Virgil Puckett, died Monday, May 21, 2007 at the Kenton Health Care Facility in Lexington. She was born September 28, 1918 in Clark County, daughter of the late Charles and Ida Curtis Scott. "Miss Pearl" was a patient in the Reflections Unit for Alzheimer's patients and a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church, Lexington. She is survived by four daughters, Eva (Jerry) Turner, Fayette County, Vera (Buddy) Rankin, Bourbon County, Danna (Alan) Yates, Mercer County, Barbara Hatton, Fayette County; eight grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and a sister, Ora (Elwood) Eichelberger, Fayette County. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, May 24, at the Immanuel Baptist Church with burial in the Evergreen Memory Gardens. Casket bearers will be Mrs. Puckett's granddaughters and grandsons, Becky Friend, Linda Hurst, Allen, Darrell, Cliff, and Dwayne Burberry, LeeAlan Yates, and Virgil Scott Hatton. Honorary bearers will be her extended family of care givers and nurses at the Reflections Unit of the Kenton Health Care Facility. Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 23, at the Hinton-Turner Funeral Home in Paris. Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association or Immanuel Baptist Church.
