Phillip Jacoby Pridemore, 69, High Street, owner and operator of Pridemore Tire, husband of Maxine Elliott Pridemore, died Tuesday, March 6, 2007 at St. Joseph Hospital. He was born July 14, 1937 in Bourbon County, son of the late Swift and Blanche Myers Pridemore, a 1955 graduate of Bourbon County High School, a graduate of the University of Kentucky, and did graduate work at Eastern Kentucky University. Mr. Pridemore was a member of Antioch Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), retiring after 15 years as choir director and attended First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) where he had been a choir member for over 10 years. He was a Kentucky Colonel, a board member of Stoner Creek Country Club, member of Paris City Club, Thursday Night Poker Club, and was a former teacher and coach at Bourbon County High School, serving as coach for the baseball team and assistant coach for the football and basketball teams. Phillip is also survived by four daughters, Linda (Kenneth) Cassity, Terry (Lorne) Lawson, Lori Pridemore (Randy), all of Paris, Judy (Mark) Blair, Lexington; three sons, Mike (Michelle) Taylor, Lexington, Dickie (Jerry) Taylor, Paris, Sammy (Darlene) Taylor, Richmond; three sisters, Katharine (Streby) Wagoner, Betty Terry, Pearl (Paul) Sosby, all of Bourbon County; two brothers, Howard "Bo" (Mildred) Pridemore, Paris, Bill (Jo Nell) Pridemore, Cynthiana; 14 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Elizabeth Haney, and a brother, Tommy Pridemore. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 10, at the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) by Rev. Jeff Bell with interment in Evergreen Memory Gardens. Casket bearers will be Steve Roe, Ed Marcum, Mark Blair, Lorne Lawson, Tyler Lawson, Sammy Taylor, and Mike Taylor. Honorary bearers will be Dickie Taylor, Donald Woodrum, Tommy Stevens, Jim Lovell, Bill Pridemore, "Bo" Pridemore, J.W. Masterson, Paul Sosby, Kenneth Cassity, Bruce Forsythe, Earl Sosby, Streby Wagoner, James Baber, Wayne Stocker, Carol Biddle, Randy Frenche, Tiny Howard, and Don Wagoner. Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the church. Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association or Diabetes Association.
