Ralph J. Ratcliff, 91, East Main Street, retired owner of Ratcliff's Greenhouse and Florist, a 30 year employee of Lexington Bluegrass Army Depot-Avon Activity, U.S. Army veteran of W.W. II, husband of Mary Elizabeth McIlvain Ratcliff, died Friday, December 29, 2006. He was born February 21, 1915 in Carter County, son of the late Charles and Florence Cartee Ratcliff, graduate of Carter County Schools, a member of the First United Methodist Church, and was a member of Trimble Lodge #145 in Grayson, KY. Mr. Ratcliff is also survived by a daughter, Dianna (Joe) Muegge, Paris; a sister, Ruth (Quinton) Boggs, Malonton, KY; two grandchildren, Tanya Muegge (James Pinyan), Commerce City, CO, Penny (Chad) Quick, Woodrow, CO; and three great grandchildren, Trista Pinyan, Cody Pinyan, both of Commerce City, and Ember Johnson, Woodrow, CO. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 3, 2007, at the Hinton-Turner Funeral Home by Rev. Jerri Williams with interment in the Paris Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Chris Adams, Bobby Adams, Steve Hamilton, Doug Hamilton, Joe Muegge, and J. David Boggs. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday.
