Raymond J. Conner, Hawkins Cummins Road, retired horseman, U.S. Air Force veteran, husband of Sherry Goff Conner, died Wednesday, October 27, 2010 at the Hospice Care Center. He was born May 12, 1932 in Lexington, son of the late James and Elveree Fitzpatrick Conner and was a member of Silas Baptist Church. He is also survived by a sister, Patsy (Leonard) Plyman, Nicholasville; two brothers, Jimmy Conner, Lexington, Joe Conner, North Carolina; two sisters-in-law, Carla (Rick) Cook, Susan (Sandy) Roush; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 29, at the Silas Baptist Church by Rev. Curtis Coots. Visitation will be after 1:00 p.m. Friday at the church. Memorials are suggested to Hospice of the Bluegrass or Silas Baptist Church.
