Robert Coleman Haney, 71, McNease Road, husband of Mary Bailey Haney, died Monday, July 11, 2011 at his home. He was born June 17, 1940 in Nicholas County, son of the late William Ira and Iva Mae Toy Haney, attended Bath County schools, and was a member of Peyton's Lick Christian Church. Bob was a retired maintenance worker for Square D with 33 years of service, a farmer, a former service station owner in Mount Sterling, an avid fisherman and was a jack of all trades. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Deborah Ballengee, Paris, Kim (Billy) Perkins, Georgetown; three grandchildren, Jillian Ballengee, Paris, Kelsie Perkins, Versailles, Molly Perkins, Georgetown; two stepsons, Jeff Turner, Paris, Mason Turner, Lexington; two sisters, Mona (Paul) Lyons, Little Rock, Patty Haney, Bunker Hill; nieces and nephews, Hollie (Jeffrey) Hart, Brad Hays, Randy and Lezlie Lyons, Darrell Lyons; and his beloved dogs. Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 14, at the Crown Hill Cemetery in Sharpsburg by Rev. Chuck Perry. Casket bearers will be Dallas Woosley, Joe Toy, William Hardy, George Abell, Bill Johnson, Al Hambrick, and Gary Shireman. Honorary bearers will be Pete Hinkle, Donald Porter, Calvin Grant, Paul Jett, Gail Smathers, Dr. Scott Pierce, and the nursing staff of St. Joseph Hospital 3B Unit. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Hinton-Turner Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to Hospice of the Bluegrass or Peyton's Lick Christian Church.
