Robert J. \"Bob\" McDaniel, 68, a retired attorney, U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War, died Thursday, November 10, 2011 at VA Medical Center. He was born February 27, 1943 in Fayette County, son of the late Frank and Mary Fugett McDaniel. Bob was a graduate of Bourbon County High, received his law degree from University of Kentucky Law School and was a member of Catholic Church of the Annunciation, Kentucky Bar Association, Bourbon Post #30 American Legion, Paris Lions Club, University of Kentucky Committee of 101, and served as a volunteer at the VA Medical Center. He is survived by two daughters, Vanessa McDaniel, Columbus, OH, Brittany McDaniel, Paris; a sister, Ann (Greg) Lane, Newberry Park, CA; a brother, John (Mary) McDaniel, Lexington; three stepchildren, Bernie (Noelle) Boyd, Independence, Melanie (Chris) Collins, Jason (Cheryl Langfels) Boyd, Paris, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, November 14, at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home with burial in Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Visitation will be after 9:00 a.m. Monday.
