Robert Eugene Staley, 76, Lexington, a 37 year employee of Breeders Supply, husband of Brenda Tipton Staley, died Monday, September 26, at Hospice Care Center. He was born October 22, 1934 in Lexington, son of the late Albert and Elizabeth Baine Staley, attended Lafayette High School and was a deacon at Gardenside Christian Church. He is also survived by four daughters, Joan Florian, Lexington, Donna Crowe, California, Rushell (Stoney) Blair, Lancaster, Cassandra Cobbs, Lexington; two stepsons, Timmy Hill, Cynthiana, Anthony (Mary) Hill, Lexington; two brothers, John (Beverly) Staley, Lexington, Tommy (Patsy) Staley, Nicholasville; a sister, Mildred Parr, Lexington; and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 30, at Gardenside Christian Church, 940 Holly Springs Road, Lexington, by Rev. Charles Delaney with burial in Old Union Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Timmy Hill, Anthony Hill, Scotty Staley, Ricky Staley, Dusty Tipton, Jerry Tipton, Jason LaChance, and Herman Hodges. Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the church. Memorials are suggested to Hospice of the Bluegrass or Gardenside Christian Church.
