Rolla James "June" Nixon, 84, South Main Street Paris husband of Betty Hendricks Nixon, died Monday, March 15, 2010. He was a native of Nicholas County, son the late Rolla James and Minnie Rankin Nixon. He was W.W.II Army veteran and a retired service station operator. A graduate of the Paris High School, member of the First Christian Church and a member of the N.R.A. Funeral service will be 11:00a.m. Friday at the Hinton-Turner Funeral Home by the Rev. Jeff Bell, burial in the Paris Cemetery. Casket bearers, Ed Marcum, Danny Cooper, Bill Burris, Rick Wagner, Robert Puckett, Chuck Soli and Bill Mitchell. Honorary bearers, John Randsell, Ed Williams, Kenney Willaims, Paula Marcum, Sally Puckett, Don Spillman, James Lovell, Burl Lovell, Emmett Davis, Pat Ameche, and Dr. Murray West. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials to the First Christian Church Building Fund.
