Roy Anthony Crochet Jr., 71, retired director of MSU Research Center at Stennis Space Center in Mississippi, husband of Marimae Pullam Crochet, died Monday, April 13, 2015 at Homestead Nursing Home, Lexington. He was born January 26, 1944 in Morgan City, Louisiana, son of the late Roy Anthony and Gloria LeBlanc Crochet. In addition to his wife, Roy is survived by a daughter, Laura (Victor) Torres, Paris; son, Benjamin "Ben" (Tyshana) Crochet, Longview, Texas; four grandchildren, Joe, Gabe, Lance, and Lena Torres, Paris; a step grandson, Greg Williams, Houston, Texas; and two sisters, Margaret Cowhan, Houston, Texas, and Gail (Larry) Landry, Livonia, Louisiana. A brother, A.J. Crochet, preceded him in death. Funeral services will be 7:00 p.m. Thursday, April 16, at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home by Rev. Steven Scherer. Visitation will be after 5:00 p.m. Thursday.
