Ruby Jackson Stevens, 99, widow of Wesley Stevens, died Saturday, August 15, 2015 at Bourbon Community Hospital. She was born January 11, 1916 in Bourbon County, daughter of the late Herman and Lillie Mynear Jackson. Mrs. Stevens attended Center Hill School and was a member of Calvary Christian Church. She is survived by four grandchildren, Debbie (Larry) Sturgill, Paris, Ann Lloyd, Lexington, Sharon Vickers, Berry, Andy (Debbie) Vickers, Paris; a daughter-in-law, Iva Owens Stevens; four great grandchildren; and five great, great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Stevens; a daughter, Barbara Gordon; and a brother, Ed Jackson. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, August 20, at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home with burial in Paris Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Steve McCauley, Jimmy Mason, Rick Hash, Jeff Ritchie, Shawn Kiser, and Patrick Lloyd. Honorary bearers will be Bob Davis, Jimmy Williams Jr., Darrell Crunch, Forrest Jackson, and Norman Morgan. Visitation will be after 11:00 a.m. Thursday. Memorials are suggested to Hospice of the Bluegrass.
