Sally Kate Bobbitt Bodkin, 80, of Harrison County and formerly of Paris, widow of Col. Joe Elden Bodkin (USAF) died May 12, 2011 at her home. She was a native of Paris born October 27, 1930 daughter of the late Forrest and Lucille Maupin Bobbitt Sr., a graduate of the Paris High School, attended UK, and was a member of the Presbyterian Church. She is survived by a son Joe C. (Jodi) Bodkin, Lexington; a daughter Stephanie Bodkin Sanchez, Harrison County; five grandchildren, Mackenzie Fleming, J.C. Bodkin, Loralie Sanchez Petrikat, Joseph Sanchez and Scott Bodkin; four great grandchildren, Tina Mitchel, Xitlaly Ramirez, Damiyan and Macario Ramirez and beloved dog Butch. She was preceded in death by a brother Forrest Bobbitt Jr. Graveside services will be at 10:00 A.M. Monday at the Paris Cemetery by the Rev. Betsy Steiner. There will be no visitation. Casket bearers will be J.C. Bodkin, Scott Bodkin, Shea Scenters, Robert Ewalt Bradley Ewalt and Zach Ewalt. Memorials are suggested to Hospice of the Bluegrass.
