Stanley Thaddeus "Pete" McClain, 86, Summit Drive, loving husband, father, and grandfather, retired F&C Railroad foreman, U.S. Army veteran of W.W. II, husband of Ellen Harp McClain, died Thursday, September 26, 2007 at the Bourbon Community Hospital. He was born June 7, 1921 in Bourbon County, son of the late A.M. and Ethel Fryman McClain and was a member of the Centerville United Methodist Church. Mr. McClain is also survived by a daughter, Leisa (Darrell) Tubbs, Paris; a son, Danny (Pat) McClain, Frankfort; six grandchildren, Marie (Jeremy) Skinner, Frankfort, Claire McClain, Louisville, Kelly McClain, Nashville, Courtney (A.J. Honican) Tubbs, Nathan Tubbs, Katie Tubbs, all of Paris; and two brothers, Virgil McClain and Donald (Nina) McClain, both of Paris. He was preceded in death by a sister, Hazel Moore, and a brother, William McClain. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 1, at the Hinton-Turner Funeral Home by Rev. Jill Ruhl and Bro. Bill Luttrell with interment in the Paris Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Garland Moore, Jr., Louis McClain, Jim Harp, Harry Clay Harp, Terry Arnold, and Lloyd Kates. Honorary bearers will be Wanda Lippert, Bro. Bill Luttrell, Mike Boone, Pete Zuniga, Harold Bussell, Buddy Mattox, Ruby Marcum, Dr. C. Ray Young, Dr. Scott Pierce, and Pete's grandchildren. Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday. Memorials are suggested to Hospice of the Bluegrass.
