Streby Eugene Wagoner, 79, 445 Skyview Drive, Paris, KY, husband of Katharine Pridemore Wagoner and father of Donald Ray Wagoner, of Paris, KY died 11:20 p.m. Wednesday, April 11, 2007 at the Bourbon Community Hospital. He was born April 22, 1927 in Bourbon County, son of the late Ira Thomas and Pearl Mattox Wagoner. He was a 1946 graduate of the Clintonville High School. He was a member of the Antioch Christian Church for more than 50 years, and was a member of the choir for over 15 years, and served as a deacon for many years. He was a Kentucky Colonel and a member of Friends of Bourbon Community Hospital. He retired from IBM, Lexington, KY in 1989. After retirement, he did a lot of woodworking projects, making and refinishing furniture. He was the one spoke in their antique shop called the "The Three Spokes Antique Shop. The other two spokes were Charles Prebble and his late brother-in-law, Lester Kendall. He loved working in his yard and going to breakfast every morning with his late brother-in-law Pat Terry. They would meet every morning at the Louie's Restaurant on Pleasant Street with all his friends. Other survivors are sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, June Stone Wagoner, Betty Pridemore Terry, Maxine Pridemore, Pearl and Paul Sosby, Howard "Bo" and Mildred Pridemore, Annabelle Pridemore, Bourbon County, Bill and Jo Nell Pridemore, Cynthiana, and Emma Lee Wagoner, Lexington. Other survivors are nieces and nephews, Doug and Ginger Wagoner, David Wagoner, Keith Wagoner, Diane and Lewis Stubblefield, Judy Carol and Doug Martin, Eleanor and Billy Dale, Rick and Debbie Pridemore, Brenda Sue and James VanHoose, Terry and Lorne Lawson, Linda and Ken Cassity, Lori Pridemore and Randy Frenche, German Palencea, Debra and Doug Parke, Bourbon County, Billie and Bonnie Banta, Nicholasville, Jim and Lucy Banta, Judy Carol and Mark Blair, Lexington, Roger and Genny Donovan, Betty Fan and Larry Taylor, Louisville, Pat Lyons, Destin, FL, Kelly Pridemore, Goshen, KY, Sandra and Mark Norenberg, Elizabethtown, KY, and a host of great nieces and nephews and great, great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sisters and brothers and his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Dorothy Wagoner, Edna and Jess Burroughs, Emma and Lloyd Donavon, Reynolds Wagoner, Julian and Myreda Wagoner, Emmett and Paul Wagoner, Beatrice and Ray Banta, Phillip Jacoby Pridemore, Patrick Terry, Lester Ray Kendall, Marion Thomas Pridemore, Elizabeth Pridemore, and George Haney, and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Blanche and Swift Pridemore. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 14, at the Hinton-Turner Funeral Home by Rev. Bob Mallory and Rev. Jeff Bell with interment in Evergreen Memory Gardens. Casket bearers will be Doug Wagoner, Doug Martin, Rick Pridemore, Steve Roe, Doug Parke, Lorne Lawson, Kelly Pridemore, and William Ryan Cassity. Honorary bearers will be Cathy and Mike Cassity, Patsy Terry Ameche, Dr. Murray West, Gerry Gorrell, Mary Ann and Jerry Kuykendall, Dennis Peck, Homer Reed, James Henry, Brian Henry, Virginia Hughes, Rick Covington Family, David Wagoner, Stewart and Irene Easter, Charles and Betty Prebble, Rick and Kendra Carpenter, Chad Bell, Paul D. Wagoner, Sam and Jewell Wagoner, Sam Clark, Jim Tipton, Unit 2 Nurses and Staff of Bourbon Heights, C.W. Pridemore, Alvin Pridemore, Bruce Forsythe, German Palencea, Joan and Henry Hanna, James Gragg, David Henry Snell, and Keith Wagoner. Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday. Memorials are suggested to Antioch Christian Church or Hospice of the Bluegrass. The family expressed a special thank you to the staff of Bourbon Community Hospital, Bourbon Heights, and Hospice of the Bluegrass.
