Thomas Hatcher Slone, 86, North Middletown Road, a retired realtor, US Air Force veteran of WW II, husband of 60 years to Opal Oder Slone, died Thursday, September 3, 2009. He was born October 14, 1922 in Hindman, son of the late Bryan and Canzala Slone and was a member of the Central Baptist Church. He is also survived by a brother, Windell (Jean) Slone, Newark, OH; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 5, at the Hinton-Turner Funeral Home by Rev. Dan Russell with burial in the Paris Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Everett Johnson, Clay Argo, Ricky Roe, Kenneth Wayne Roe, Timmy Roe, John William Roe, Keith Lenox, Brad Lenox, and Chad Roe. Honorary bearer will be Bob Davis. Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday.
