Tressie Mae Nickell, 80, Vine Street, died Saturday, August 7, 2010 at St. Joseph Hospital. She was born May 10, 1930 in West Liberty, daughter of the late Slim and Lou Nickell. She is survived by five daughters, Debbie Strong, Sharon Strong, Sheila Strong, Louise Allen, Nell Allen; two sons, Mike Strong, Michael Allen; a sister, Dorothy Adkins; ten grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Justin Wittwer. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 11, at the Hinton-Turner Funeral Home by Dr. Morgan Gilkey with burial in Evergreen Memory Gardens. Casket bearers will be Michael Strong, Jonathan Acree, Ryan Acree, Chuck Soard, Brandon Strong, and Terry Tubbs. Visitation will be after 11:00 a.m. Wednesday.
