Vickey Sue Burberry, 56, Hawkins Cummins Road, a Blue Grass Community Technical College professor, wife of George Thomas Burberry, died Saturday, May 05, 2007 at Bourbon Community Hospital. She was born December 31, 1950 in Oldham County, daughter of Sue Brown Braden, LaGrange, and the late Robert Braden, a graduate of Oldham County High School and Midway College and received her Masters Degree from Morehead State University. Vickey was a member of Silas Baptist Church where she was active in WMU and a member of the Red Hat Society. She is also survived by four sons, Chris Adkins, Cold Springs, Bill Adkins, Lexington, Barry (Brandi) Adkins, Austin, TX, Todd Adkins, Paris; four stepsons, Allen (Pam) Burberry, Tollesboro, Darrell Burberry, Bourbon County, Cliff Burberry, Lexington, Dwayne (Heather) Burberry, Paris; three sisters, Barbara (Vernon) Beaver, Gainesville, GA, Harriett (Corey) Beatty, LaGrange, Sherry (Dennis) Deekin, Louisville; and two brothers, Robert (Shirley) Braden, Pittsfield, IL, and Mark (Cathy) Braden, Pleasureville. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 8, at the Silas Baptist Church by Rev. Curtis Coots with interment in the Old Union Cemetery. Her sons and stepsons will serve as casket bearers. Honorary bearers will be members of Silas Baptist Church. Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday at the Hinton-Turner Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to Hospice of the Bluegrass or Silas Baptist Church Building Fund.
