Virgil Webb, 70, Colby Road, Clark County, a highly respected retired farmer, died Tuesday, March 13, 2007 at Central Baptist Hospital. He was born June 26, 1936 in Estill County, son of the late Ben and Bonnie Lutes Webb. Virgil is survived by his wife of 52 years, Helen Stanfield Webb; a daughter, Vicky (David) Allen; two sons, Jeff (Glenda) Webb, Benny (Maureen) Webb; five grandchildren, Melissa (Billy) Barker, Nathan Allen, Tosha Webb, Ben Webb, Breanne Webb, two great grandchildren, Skylar D. and Bryson D. Barker, all of Winchester; four brothers, James D. (Ella) Webb, Fayette County, Jason (Patsy) Webb, Randell Gene Webb, both of Woodford County, Gary D. (Bonnie) Webb, Bourbon County; a sister, Barbara (Bradley) Reeves, Fayette County; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 16, at the Hinton-Turner Funeral Home, Paris, by Charles Courtney with interment in Evergreen Memory Gardens. Casket bearers will be Jeff Webb, Benny Webb, David Allen, Gary Webb, Nathan Allen, Ben Webb, and Mike Stanfield. Honorary bearers will be Prewitt Van Meter, Ray Waits, Samuel Ferguson, James Hopkins, Jim Boggs, David Webb, Don Henry, Dr. James Ferrell, and Dr. Pam Combs. Visitation will be 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday. Memorials are suggested to Hospice of the Bluegrass.
