Virginia Susan Blythe, 82, homemaker, Elizabeth Station Road, wife of Eugene Blythe, died Thursday, September 13, 2007 at her home. She was born September 7, 1925 in Bath County, daughter of the late Walter and Mazella Hatton White, a graduate of Bath County schools, and was a member of the Church of Christ. Mrs. Blythe is also survived by a daughter, Mary Jane Fite, Bourbon County; two sons, Allen (Karen) Oglesbee, Bourbon County, Charles (Ruth) Oglesbee, Paris; a very special niece, Betty Jo Dennis, Paris; six grandchildren, Sherry (Greg) Williamson, Paris, Christy (Steve) Carpenter, Georgetown, Sandy Watson, Paris, Carol (Scott) Juetton, Louisville, Charles K. Oglesbee, Jr., Paris, Jessica (Sid) Wells, Paris; five great grandchildren, Amber Williamson, Zachary Carpenter, Nathan Carpenter, Christina Watson, Gary B. Watson; a sister-in-law, Opal White, Clarksburg, IN; two step granddaughters, Pam (Rob) Combs, Lexington, Kim Watson, Nicholasville; four step great grandchildren, Christopher Drake, Robert Combs, Erin Watson, Matthew Morrow; and a great, great grandson, Christopher Dale Drake. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Robert Eugene Oglesbee; four brothers; and five sisters. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 17, at the Hinton-Turner Funeral Home by Bro. Curtis Graves with interment in the Paris Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Charles K. Oglesbee, Jr., Steve Carpenter, Sid Wells, Raymond D. Fryman, James "PeeWee" Fryman, and Jerry Dennis. Honorary bearers will be Gary B. Watson, Zachary Carpenter, Nathan Carpenter, Eddie Watson, Bill Watson, Danny Vandy, Frank Anderson, Russ Rogers, Dr. Nathan L. Moore, and her nurses from Hospice of the Bluegrass. Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday.
