Virginia Florence Kaufmann, 82, Louisville, formerly of Bourbon County, died Saturday, January 13, 2007. She was born November 2, 1924 in Bourbon County, daughter of the late Wilford Leonard and Pearl Gray Florence and was a graduate of Clintonville High School and Fugazzi Business School. Mrs. Kaufmann retired from the VA Hospital in Louisville after 33 years of service, was a member of Larchmont Church of God, Louisville, and was a Kentucky Colonel. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Otto Daniel Kaufmann, Louisville; a niece, Virginia (James) Alexander, Bourbon County; two nephews, Leonard "Buddy" Florence, Bourbon County, Wayne Florence, Lexington; aunt, Ida Cook, Lawrenceburg; five great nieces, one great nephew; and several nieces and nephews. She will be sadly missed by all. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 17, at the Hinton-Turner Funeral Home by Rev. Sylvester Sanders with interment in the Paris Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Bradley True, Scott True, Derrick Scott, Steve West, Alex Alexander, and Andrew True. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday.
