Virginia Davis "Peggy" Kiser, 84, died Wednesday, October 31, 2007 at Bourbon Heights where she had been a resident for several years. She was born in Fayette County to the late Prewitt and Edna Thompson Davis. Peggy graduated from Clark County High School and in 1945 married William Harley Kiser of Paris. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, the Bourbon Post #30 American Legion Auxiliary, and the Legion Gun Club. Peggy is survived by a sister, Elizabeth Davis Wright; two brothers, Luther Harris (Dorcas) Davis, Joe Prewitt (Minnie) Davis, all of Bourbon County; nieces and nephews, John (Marsha) Wright, Miller (Janie) Davis, William (Connie) Wright, James (Becky) Davis, Mark (Rebecca) Davis, Robert Davis, Charlotte (Terry) Box, Susan (Castle) Redmon, Linda (David) Williams; and a number of great nieces and nephews. A younger brother, Ray Thompson Davis, preceded her in death. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 3, at the Hinton-Turner Funeral Home by Rev. David Chumney with interment in the Paris Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Richard Eads, William Wright, James Tod David, Robert Davis, John Wright, Miller Davis, and Mark Davis. Visitation will be after 10:00 a.m. Saturday. The family wishes to express sincere appreciation to the doctors and the staff of Bourbon Heights and Hospice of the Bluegrass for their loving care during Peggy's long battle with Alzheimer's Disease. Memorials are suggested to Bourbon Heights or Hospice of the Bluegrass.
