Waetta Morris, 92, of Lexington, retired Bluegrass Industries and Hansley Mill employee, widow of William Arthur Morris, died Thursday, April 30, 2015 at her home. She was born March 24, 1923 in Mason County, daughter of the late William and Mable Pugh Tucker and was a faithful member of Epworth Methodist Church. Mrs. Morris is survived by four children, David (Carolyn) Morris, Lexington, Betty Brown, Nicholasville, James (Diana) Morris, Lexington, Andrea ( Michael) Ross, Mount Sterling; two brothers, Harry (Barbara) Tucker, Ernest (Barbara) Tucker; eleven grandchildren; twenty-nine great grandchildren; five great, great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a grandson, William Robert Sullivan; a great grandson, William Robert Sullivan Jr.; two sisters; and one brother. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 5, at the Hinton-Turner Funeral Home by Rev. Steve Richmond with burial in Evergreen Memory Gardens. Casket bearers will be her grandsons, Perry Sullivan, Shane Lyons, Ryan Lyons, Mike Morris, Tim Morris, Scott Ross, and Joshua Ross. Her granddaughters, Kim Mattmiller, Lisa Duford, Shelley Mosher, and Heather Brown, will serve as honorary bearers. Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday. Memorials are suggested to Hospice of the Bluegrass.
