Waller Payne Kenney, 93, East Main Street, widow of William Buckner Kenney, died Friday, October 15, 2010. She was born June 28, 1917 in Bourbon County, daughter of the late J.W. and Lucy Bragg Payne. Waller was a graduate of Paris High School, a past member of Bourbon County Homemakers and Garden Club of Kentucky, a volunteer at the Bargain Box, and was an active member of First Baptist Church. She is survived by a daughter, Mary Margaret (William G.) McClintock; two granddaughters, Meg Burns (Brandon) Sumpter, Elizabeth Burns (Buck) Woodford; and a great granddaughter, Ella Payne Woodford. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Waller Payne Fryman and Katherine K. "Kassie" Kenney. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 19, at the Paris Cemetery by Rev. Don Reed and Rev Gary Ellcessor. Casket bearers will be Philip Hurst, Danny Jackson, Jim Bowman, Robert Clay Sturgeon, Danny Biddle, and John Pumphrey. Honorary bearers will be Dr. Perry Wornall, Harry Park, Bill Pumphrey, Curt Park, Billy Payne Ramey, Winstead Thomas Buckner, and Charlie Tubbs. There will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Oneida Baptist Institute.
